RecoverED, WARM alongside the Gwent Archives delivered the launch of the UALL supported Community Research and Engagement network event yesterday at the Gwent Archives. The general response from the audience was very pleasing with everyone going away with something new and exciting to think about. First, Penny and Rhianne discussed WARM and it’s work penny-and-rhi-presentation-for-warm-conference-proof. Both were terrific in capturing the essence and passion of WARM through the Pen-Y-Fal and sewing machine projects. Next up was Rhiannon who explained the depth of opportunity at the Archives and how working with community groups such as WARM has been a good learning curve for how to engage with other community groups. working-with-community-groups-26-07-2017. Both presentations allowed Mark to describe the conceptual framework of Co-CREATE recovered-pp-for-archives-event-v3 which supports the work of WARM. Owain chaired the event and did a great job of keeping Mark to time! Yep, you read it right – Mark kept to time.
All in all we are very excited with the positive responses we had yesterday for our work but also very grateful to Gwent Archives for hosting the event. We also announced our 2018 conference – October 10th which is World Mental Health Day and will again be held at the Gwent Archives. We’ll update plans as soon as we have them. Watch this space also because Graham filmed the event while Steve took some pictures – so we’ll place them here. Exciting times everybody.
