What a superb Mental Health Awareness seminar hosted by Mark Richardson and Nicola Vaile of RecoverED Community Wellbeing At Glyn Taff Campus of the University of South Wales earlier today (Thursday 4th of Jan 2024). The content was so well put over that an extremely difficult topic to grasp was made enjoyable and interesting. (Pete Naylor Certlosh, MIRSM, MCIEH)
Talking about difficult circumstances in life isn’t easy, but the session that Mark and his team delivered to a large group of student nurses was inspiring and motivating. The session provided a great deal of information that I’m sure will and should encourage all of us to seek further knowledge and understanding. It’s fundamental that the issues people face are recognised and understood. The fact that there is hope, through appropriate help and understanding is increasingly important in today’s environment. The session left me feeling that there is so much that society as a whole needs to learn about the issues that many face on a daily basis. It covered a wide variety of topics and included the stigma that those suffering have to deal with in addition to everything else they go through. I learnt a huge amount from the session despite having family and friends who’ve needed help with mental health issues. Mark’s knowledge and compassion is clear – he is a man who deeply cares about people. He is someone who wants to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most and that is inspirational.

As an Employment Law/HR professional with over 20 years-experience and having attended many courses and seminars in relation to “Mental Health” and mindfulness, RecoverED’s awareness training was one of the most knowledgeable and informative seminars that I have ever attended, both locally and at a national level.
I can honestly say that the way the course was formatted and presented was one of the best I have attended. The style of delivery was portrayed as a general chat and awareness, but this could not be further from the truth. Instead, the realism of the whole situation called mental health was brought to the forefront and I believe my knowledge as both a HR professional and more importantly as an individual was immensely rewarded.

Mark is inspiring, whoever you are, whatever your story, Mark will reach you and excite you into learning. He can stand in between the uneducated and the scholars of this world and make you feel that you have a right to be there.

An absolutely Smashing course – thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. And Mark Richardson really knows his subject – would certainly encourage others to take this course in the future
