Charity Events

Well, we’ve decided to go for a mixed event to coincide with World Mental Health Day on Tuesday 10th of October 2017. Not only will we run the Cardiff half Marathon which takes place on the 01/10/2017. We have decided to also climb the two National Peaks – Ben Nevis and Scafell and then we’re going to run up the third, Snowdon – in the same week! We’ve estimated that’s over 33 miles of running, walking (up big hills), laughing and crying. We might even add the other two Welsh Peaks Cadair Idris and Pen y Fan – just to make sure we are finished on the Sunday – 8th of October. Just to add to the fun we will be talking to other walkers, runners and climbers on the way about mental health and all other issues related to mental health.

So, watch this space because we’ll be updating as events unfold.

With this event we will also be working very closely with Training in Mind to deliver information on the MHFA and with Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent Mind to raise awareness of issues around stigma and mental health – so  we’ll be looking for sponsors, contributors and we think by the end, paramedics.
